Taper Lock Bushings & QD Bushings for the US Industrial Market

U.S. power-transmission procurement commonly uses inch-bore dimensions together with Taper Lock and QD terminology. ASME B17.1 remains a current reference for keys and keyseats; an ordered product still needs its exact bore/keyway and mating hub confirmed.

Procurement and selection considerations

Buyer consideration Practical implication
Bore convention State shaft diameter in inch unless the machine is metric; do not convert by rounding.
Keyway Name ASME/USAS B17.1 or provide measured keyway dimensions when known.
Replacement Send the existing model plus the sheave, sprocket or hub interface.
Documentation State any inspection/material document requirement before quotation.

Typical industrial contexts

Industry / equipment context Bushing families commonly reviewed
Agriculture / HVAC / light industry EP-1008 through EP-2517 Taper Lock; QD compact families.
Conveyors / pumps / heavier drives EP-3030 through EP-5050, subject to drive-duty and hub checks.
QD chain/sheave systems EP-SF-STL through EP-N-STL where the mating component is QD.
Split Taper EP-G through EP-Y families where the matching split-taper hub is installed.

Prepare a clear cross-border RFQ

For a U.S. enquiry, provide the existing or EP model, exact shaft size with units, keyway reference, mating sheave, sprocket or hub, quantity, and delivery state or port. Include a drawing or clear part photos when replacing imported or legacy equipment.

For an RFQ, include the existing model when known, measured shaft diameter, keyway information, mating hub or pulley and required quantity. It does not imply a local office, local stock, local certification or an installed customer reference.
