Taper Lock Bushings for the German & European Industrial Market

German and wider European drive-technology procurement often starts with metric shaft dimensions and a DIN keyway reference. DIN 6885-1 is a current reference for parallel keys and keyways; final selection still requires the actual bushing/hub interface.

Procurement and selection considerations

Buyer consideration Practical implication
Bore convention Provide the measured shaft diameter in mm.
Keyway State DIN 6885 where required, or provide the drawing/keyway dimensions.
Legacy equipment Imported machinery can mix inch-series bushing codes with metric shafts.
Documentation Specify any required drawing, inspection or material document in the RFQ.

Typical industrial contexts

Industry / equipment context Bushing families commonly reviewed
Agricultural machinery Compact/mid Taper Lock groups with metric bore/keyway confirmation.
Food / packaging machinery QD or compact Taper Lock families; confirm material/finish separately.
Paper / general industrial drives Split Taper or Taper Lock depending on the installed hub.
Heavy materials / mining Large Taper Lock families where shaft and hub geometry match.

Prepare a clear cross-border RFQ

For Germany or the wider EU, give the metric shaft diameter, DIN or drawing-defined keyway, existing bushing code, hub or pulley reference, quantity and destination. A dimensioned drawing is especially useful where an inch-series code is fitted to a metric shaft.

For an RFQ, include the existing model when known, measured shaft diameter, keyway information, mating hub or pulley and required quantity. It does not imply a local office, local stock, local certification or an installed customer reference.
