Taper Bush Selection Guide
A taper bushing is only one half of a shaft-to-hub connection. The buyer must match the bushing family to the mating hub, then confirm bore and keyway details.
| Decision | Action |
|---|---|
| 1. Family | Identify taper lock, QD, split taper, XT, or the mating hub/adapter family. |
| 2. Model | Use the visible code when readable, for example EP-2517 or EP-XTB50. |
| 3. Shaft | Confirm actual shaft diameter and whether it is inch or metric. |
| 4. Keyway | Measure or specify the required keyway reference. |
| 5. Hub interface | Confirm the mating hub/sheave/sprocket style and installation access. |
| 6. RFQ | Send quantity plus drawings/photos when replacement identification is uncertain. |
